General Rules and Regulations:
  • Each registered athlete will receive the following:
    • Amateur Athletes: Complimentary lift tickets for Friday, 5/23 and Saturday, 5/24 (value $72) 
    • Pro Athletes:
      •  Complimentary lift tickets for Friday, 5/23 and Saturday, 5/24 (value $72)
      • Complimentary lunch for Saturday, 5/24 and Sunday, 5/25 (value $20)
    • Only athletes that qualify for finals will receive complimentary lift tickets for all three days (value $108) 
  • All event class fields are limited. Due to the popularity of this event, pre-registration is highly recommended and is first-come, first served
  • All participants will be required to sign a waiver, photo release form at onsite registration. Participants under 18 years of age are required to have a parent or guardian signature
  • Helmets are required for all events including practice and freeriding
  • Athletes are required to have valid lift tickets and athlete number plates in order to gain access to any race course
  • Competitors may only engage in practice runs during official, class-specific practice sessions. Any athlete observed poaching a practice session will be disqualified
  • Official field start-times will be posted at the mandatory riders meeting, at the base of the gondola, DH and DS start area and at registration
  • Athletes are encouraged and required to be at the start area at least 20 minutes prior to their posted (time-of-day) start times. Athletes that are not present at the start area for their posted start time will be disqualified; no exceptions
  • Registration fees and competitor lift tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable

Course Profile:
Downhill
Designed by the Diablo Trail Crew, the U.S. Open downhill course continues to evolve in 2008 with overall  improved flow and some creative reroutes.  Racers can expect a greatly improved lower course section along with additional finish-line jumps and rythym sections.

Dual Slalom
New in 2008, the U.S. Open Dual Slalom Course will feature traditional Dual Slalom attributes with creative elements and action-packed, spectator fueled racing!
